a Lloyd Berry project

a fusion of folk, country, blues and passion - because that's what music is!

Experienced performing & sound artists Pat Lloyd and Paul Berry established a project in the first quarter of 2009 to explore their musical connection to the universe. Like Shaman they use their music to seek an understanding of the forces that govern this place.

The creative output of two passionate and talented individuals, who use electric and acoustic guitars (lead, rhythm, slide & bass), vocals and percussion - together with various playing techniques and effects, is inspiring, exciting and like air, fire and water; fundamental to life on this planet. In keeping with the circumstances of their chance meeting, Pat & Paul play predominantly original folk, country and blues based music that reflects:

1) 'the vibe of the thing', developed on-the-fly at the time they are playing;

2) a preconceived structure and / or riff - but again influenced by 'the vibe of the thing';

3) completely pre-written, garnished and served hot with passion; and

4) all of the above in no particular order.

Ranchero should be considered by venues and other clients who are looking for an absolutely creative and exciting sound full of dynamics and textures that can either; take over the venue completely; like a thick earthy trance or, flow in and around the venue like a snaking stream of magic.

Loud, soft, more of this flavour, more of that flavour - you can influence the outcome! Pat & Paul are happy, in fact; they would prefer to work with clients to optimise their sound and music selection to best fit the signature of the venue or indeed, help develop a signature for their clients.
