About Band
Celtic Post-punk Acoustic.
These are 3 labels to describe 3 arm spiral to the world, but really - how does blue taste? How does purple feel?
Adam Ryan is the songwriter/singer. main instrument is open tuned mandolin and modfied acoustic "percussion guitar". Adam has been in many bands, though probably the most memorable was "the Suspects" a Post-punk band based in Bangkok during the mid 90's. Having a venue full of people screamins back your own words to you is an experience you don't get over easily and he is still trying.
Lewis is a multi instrumentalist from Bedford who decided to try his luck in Australia's cowboy country. Playing in a number of bands in England and then Australia ( Jabiru, the Duanes). He is currently playing bass with Adam. As he remarked to Leah Flannigan, he was doing sound for Adam's solo gig and he was so impressed he joined the band.
Both members bring a wealth of experience ( yeah, they're in their mid 30's and proud of it!) and deep apreciation of many genres to the mix but underpinning the lot is a river of Celtic magic that springs from down deep.
The band is based in Darwin N.T., as far north in Australia as you can get without being eaten by crocodiles.
They are fiercely independent and proud to mow against the grain...
