3WA pronounced ( trey - wah ) An EX-U.S Military RapCore Band reunited home-front in 2010 bringing a new refreshing sound fused with beer, Bars & Best Friends. Modern Indie vibes fit for the good and grim times of today's American underground culture. What the meaning behind the Band Name? 3rd World America is a term we thought of to represent the struggle of the low paid working class that actually try to get out of the rut only to fall back in every month, like us. It also describes the low class of todays America, meaning more of the stupid things people do that keeps them there in their little comfortable dark holes. Not learning from history is going into the future blind, stupid, and ignorant. Who's in the band? Where do you record? Rube and Walt for now, we collaborate with many other musicians on our projects like JC Spiva from Eugene (Fathers Millimeter Nine, MoonWater, Cross my Table) We record from home, I (rube) live in Northern California and Walt lives in Texas, we file swap our ideas through email and talk on the phone consistently until a song is complete. How did you guys meet? We met in the medieval Rhein-Main area of west Germany while we were in the military, played a few gigs doing Rapcore taking 3rd place in the West Germany battle of the bands, then we all got orders and were disbanded due to the separation. Whats the short and long term goals of 3WA? For now, building a fan-base, continue to write and record what were going through in our lives that mirror the majority of our faithful fans. We are also looking at FINALLY making a CD for online stores and digital download singles. Long term - I think Walt and I have it stuck in our heads to continue doing what were doing, too many of our friends say things like "i like that band, but not their new stuff" for us to make a change.
