5 STAR 5 Star may be the most unique hip-hop artist to have ever performed in music history! The name “5 Star” was born to not only represents a brand of musical excellence but also to symbolize his 5 amazing talents; an Emcee, a Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon, a published Author, an award-winning Poet/Spoken-Word Artist, and Songwriter. His music has been described by many as a combination of Nas, Outkast and Eminem, leaving listening audiences dumbfounded with his lyrical gifts, imagery and storytelling. Furthermore, 5 Star has amassed a truly impressive catalog of music consisting of over 350 songs, demonstrating an unparalleled consistency for musical brilliance. Not only a prolific artist and songwriter, 5 Star’s performances demonstrate a true sense for showmanship, with a flare for the big stage all while connecting with his audience. Along with his musical talents, 5 Star graduated from medical school and went on to complete his surgical residency in Plastics and Reconstructive surgery at the University of Chicago.
