Every so often a comet soars through the sky like a speeding bullet and falls to the Earth, in the form of an explosion! Well Brooklyn's own "Go Go Black", has just landed. Born Na-Quine Peterson the eldest of four boys, Go Go had to adapt quickly to the hardships of life. By the time Black was eleven yrs.old he was practically suicidal and suffered from depression, writing his thoughts down every time he got a chance to. Before this young talented emcee knew it, he'd written his first song. In 1994 Go Go Black recorded his first professional record supervised and produced by the Mighty KRS-One, which landed spot on the first D&D project distributed by Arista. That got the incredible Go Go Black open enough to pursue a career in Hip Hop music. Being raised in the Marcy housing complex Black obtained battle skills from the best of them, then defeated the worst of them. Battling emcees across the five boroughs gave Black a notoriety like no other. By the time 1995 came Go Go had defeated Emcee after emcee, tearing them a new you know what. Hooking up with the likes of Wyclef, Clark kent, Syhiem, ghost face Killer, Trife Diesel, CoCo Brothaz, Craig Mack, and many more. Performing on stages ranging from N.Y. to L.A. Go Go developed a knack for the stage, wielding a microphone like a sword during battle Black spits verse after verse of relative fire. The only words to describe Go Go Black is.... "An old soul with a new face". Go Go's lyrics are packed with pain and punch-line. combining the streets with emotionally perceived views of the world and almost everything in it, Black paints a very vivid picture of the environment in which much of the African community comes from... The Ghetto. "I'm the slave that got his foot cut off", that's how he describes himself in a nut shell. This twenty-six year old phenomenon is definitely the future of Hip Hop. Currently writing a book not yet titled Go Go continues to perform and record relentlessly with his eyes on the gold. Featured on public access channels across the state of New York Go Go Black's face is splattered over the T.V. screen every Saturday morning ripping emcees, or on stage doing his one, two thang. in 1998 Go Go Black was picked up by Iron Mike ent. a production company and record label owned by Mike Tyson the former Heavy weight Boxing Champion of the world. No deal was established Go Go flew back home to Brooklyn with a new lesson. Never count your chickens before they hatch. Do to incarceration Go Go Black took time off to gather his thoughts once again evolving , into a super emcee. Known as one of the only rappers to beat the rapper Eminem in a head to head, Go Go Black is ready to do what he has to do...
