Dee Poet and S. Dub (known as Many Styles at the time) met in college in the mid 90's. Poet was DJing a house party and they met there through Many's suitemates, who happened to be mutual acquaintances. Rapper Tai Cee, who was Poet's roommate, introduced the two. They began vibing and before too long, Many was spitting a rhyme that he wrote for someone he met earlier that semester. Tai and Poet were impressed and they invited Many  to come chill in their dorm room.
