Abercion is a 5 Piece Groove/Metalcore band from Birmingham, England. The band was formed by guitarists Alex Bohemia and Matt Morgan in 2008. After several attempts at creating a successful band, the two decided that it was time that a new band should be started for real, recruiting talented vocalist Matt Spurrier to do lead vocals. An on-going search for a bassist and drummer was proving unsuccessfull untill they came across a new bassist, Matt Kirby taking influence by the likes of Metallica and Bullet For My Valentine. He was snatched up by the first oppurtunity they could grab. The only member remaining to be found, was a drummer. A few weeks later, along came Ben Newton. He soon became adapted to the rest of the band's type of music and was eventually recruited, thus Abercion was formed, although at the time, the band were going under the name 'Bleeding Eyes' but was later changed to Abercion, as the band felt that the previous name had lost it's touch. The band has very recently recorded a 3 track demo CD in which it will be distributed for free upon request. We are now looking to get as wide as we can possibally get and book in some gigs to get us going on the scene. Feel free to add, comment and subscribe to our blog.
