About Band
According to Wendy (ATW) is a progressive, original rock band hailing from New York City. Originally formed in 2005 by Steve Holder, Fred Pisciotta and Chris DaSilva, ATW combined the many influences from each band member to form a hybrid-sort of style. Bits of reggae, rock, funk and punk helped make up the sound, but as time progressed so did the style.
The first few gigs were acoustic, with the drums being replaced with a set of congas and various percussion. These early shows were played in Red Hook, Brooklyn, where the band occasionally still plays. Soon after, ATW started playing full-band gigs in Manhattan while continuing to add original songs to their repertoire.
Today, According to Wendy can be seen playing monthly shows in NYC at popular venues such as the Baggot Inn and Kenny's Castaways. Their songs are a unique blend of indie rock, reggae, funk and even some surf rock, but all have that trademark ATW style including a catchy hook and pulsating rhythms.
