It’s the music - melodies on the edge of the mind that escape us in our waking thoughts. Songs of tales and fantasies longing to be written, demanding our attention, our aid...
So we write this music, these entities, and we play. We play that they might be satisfied, and we rest knowing that this music we call ours, these melodies we pulled from the aether are at peace. For now.
And it flows. It runs out of fingers, it flies from feet and hands and voice ‘til the air shakes with these fey creatures. They revel in their brief moment, their spark in this world. They delight in the new form we’ve given them, and dance. And headbang.
They are our own.
