About Band

Hailing from all reaches of the globe and re-born in the shifting tides of the Oceanus, Across The Latitudes is an eclectic rock-based collective who have migrated through the Chanel and up the Themes to 51.5171° N, 0.1062° W (London England), their new base of operations.

Striving to prove that any genre of music or background of life is just another note, Across The Latitudes, aspire to submerge the preconceived boundaries of Rock 'n Roll by fusing Blues, Jazz, Metal, Funk and Classical music. Across The Latitudes endeavour to expose the calm within the maelstrom, the chaos within the gentle tide and the beauty and serenity of the storm it’s self.

Tomasz Biec: from 50.7300° N, 16.6600° E (Dzierzoniow/Wroclaw Poland) is a self-taught Bass Guitarist and the co-founder of Across The Latitudes walong with Fluency Grey. An ambitious and meticulous musician, Tomasz's unique form of bass forcefully wrangles the intricacies of Funk, NuMetal and Grunge in to powerful melodies that inspires the music with vibrant through lines of passion and strength.

Amanda Dal: of 59.3300° N, 18.0700° E (Stockholm Sweden) primarily left 59° N to pursue studies in Percussion before joining Across The Latitudes. The Swedish sweet-heart fuels the group with her intense rhythms and eclectic shifts to add diversity and authenticity to each new track. Amanda proves to the masses that the blokes aren’t the only hell razing hard hitters!

Fluency Grey: raised at 45.4214° N, 75.6919° W (Ottawa Canada) formed Across The Latitudes undeterred after the failure of his previous 3 bands in 2010. The self-trained Singer/Song-writing/Guitarist has been playing the least amount of time out of all the members of the band, though is known for his wild stage performances and high energy, aggressive guitar playing.

Paolo Menna: birthed at 45.4333° N, 10.9833° E (Verona Italy) joined Across The Latitudes in winter 2011 despite his credited and substantial academic skill. The perfectionist Paolo, is the 20-year-classically-trained-pianist of the band whose smooth bitter-sweet touch and professionalism instil beauty and longing in to every song.

Now in studio transition, Across The Latitudes plans to begin writing and testing new songs and material in and around 51° N area; so keep your eyes to the stage and keep your ears to the speakers and watch out for Across The Latitudes !!!!

FAR TO FALL

tell me

i take it in

i let it go

i let it take you away

free fall

i let it drop

i pick it up

and head on back to the start

not surprized i hate this

my love has gone away

left behined in peices

i plan an escape for this realities sake

how far do i have to fall

to feel the pain of it all

A stars shine so painfully bright

my head spins round with the LIGHT!

stand still

running on

nothing left

so get me back to the fray

wait here

not a chance

get some more

i gotta go for the heart

not surprized i hate this

my love has gone away

left behined in peices

i plan an escape for this realities sake

how far do i have to fall

to feel the pain of it all

A stars shine so painfully bright

my head spins round with the LIGHT!

SLIPPING THROUGH

well the earth won't stop to stare as i'm standing still

waiting for the turn

but this wave crashes down on me over everything

that i thought i knew

grip this dust but all i have to show are my stained grey hands

and an image of you

so i stare starstuck blind and deaf waiting for the sand

to slip though my nails

wait i need more time

wait 'cause i'm loosing my mind

never saw you pass me by but i still felt the moment fly

like the ashes in a fall i barely felt you slipping through

(hey- 'cause there's not enough time) x4

CAN'T STAND TO WAIT CAUSE THERE'S NOT ENOUGH TIME! x2

shattered glass and oppertunities seem to radiate

before you feel the loss

a fading face created in my mind just to fill the frame

of a canvas - blank and dry

unsatisfied with hollow hopes and goals designed to fill up space

and ever ending time

but i can't just wait to slip or bide my time after all that's been

so you'll end up slipping through

wait i need more time

wait 'cause i'm loosing my mind

never saw you pass me by but i still felt the moment fly

like the ashes in a fall i barely felt you slipping through

(hey- 'cause there's not enough time) x2

CAN'T STAND TO WAIT CAUSE THERE'S NOT ENOUGH TIME!

wait x4

A MID-NIGHT LULLABY

quand la ciel turne a gris

et j'ecoute tous la bruis

qui ce sonne chaque mid-nuite (at night- when the sky turns to grey)

et je demande qui je suis (at night- when the sky turns to grey)

quand la Ciel turne a Gris

et j'ecoute tous la bruis (at night- when the sky turns to grey)

qui ce sonne chaque mid-nuite (at night- when the sky turns to grey)

et je demande qui je suis (at night- when the sky turns to grey)

THE STORM

i see the storm

and even in the distance

i can feel it in my bones

do i feel lost

within this sea

though i know what's in front of me

trouble is

on it's way

i see the

storm araise

and the

sky turn from white to

grey clouds hang

in my mind

i feel the

trouble near

but i know that some day i will be okay 'cause i'll run away

where is my best

when i need it most

because my hands are bound in ropes

so i'll break free

never once again be

traped by the chaos that surrounds my soul

trouble is

on it's way

i see the

storm araise

and the

sky turn from white to

grey clouds hang

in my mind

i feel the

trouble near

but i know that some day i will be okay 'cause i'll run away x2

BROKEN DREAMS

well i found myself a broken dream

spliced, cut, wrecked fucked all these broken scenes

so will i wake to find some long lost means - or will it

turn out that it's just how the world seems - no

y'drive a lie further in to my back

d'you feel alive while you tell me all that i lack

so where's the dream that i've been hoping to see well i don't

feel awake but keep forgetting to sleep - so

well i'd say that there's nothing to lose

but the hope that you wanted to gain

so i'll fight just to proove myself wrong

AND I'LL TAKE THE DREAMS AND ALL THE SHIT FROM THEM TOO!

  MINDSTORM

well we wait- for a chance to glow

but the light- seems so cold to the low

better than your eyes though- cause they're dark let me go

try to run so- fast but we're slow

face the rain that dampense your mind and cheats you into disgrace

feel the fake black tears as they freeze on your face

the rageing wind tries to hold you back tries to keep you in place

SO KEEP THE COLD TO THE BONES

AND KEEP THE ICE TO YOUR VEINS

AND LET YOUR HEART KEEP THE PACE

another lost Chance- chalk it up to a fail

how does the world- look when you can't prevail

there's always light though- in the storm through the hail

you put in the time yeah- but you can't get the bail

face the rain that dampense your mind and cheats you into disgrace

feel the fake black tears as they freeze on your face

the rageing wind tries to hold you back tries to keep you in place

SO KEEP THE COLD TO THE BONES

AND KEEP THE ICE TO YOUR VEINS

AND LET YOUR HEART KEEP THE PACE

soaked through

chilled down

to the bone

weighed down

hearts your

feeling low

black clouds

form on

every thought that you own

mind storm

rain pours

now you're cold and alone

face the rain that dampense your mind and cheats you into disgrace

feel the fake black tears as they freeze on your face

the rageing wind tries to hold you back tries to keep you in place

SO KEEP THE COLD TO THE BONES

AND KEEP THE ICE TO YOUR VEINS

AND LET YOUR HEART KEEP THE PACE
