About Artist

Adam Santoya is a producer from Saginaw, Michigan, who grew up on Motown classics and Hip Hop during the 80's. He began producing and writing at an early age. His first recording came when he was in the 7th grade via two tape decks and an instrumental from a cassette single. His first attempt at producing was done with a Sega Saturn using its loop feature. This is where it all began.

In 2000, Santoya started to produce from scratch using Codemaster's MTV Music Generator video game for the PlayStation. Having no formal training in music theory, this is how Adam learned to make music. After producing well over 200 songs from 2000 to 2002 (none of which were ever released), Adam decided to call it quits.

In January of 2008, Adam found himself bored over winter break and downloaded FL Studio 7 to mess around. This turned out to be more than just a way to kill time before going back to school. He released his first album "Instruementals," having only experimented with FL7 for six months. Once his work load became less demanding, he began production on his second album "Now and Later: An 18 Piece Classic." Both albums were released under the LOAV moniker.

In 2010, Santoya dropped the LOAV label to go by his real name. With a new outlook on his career and a surplus of creativity and determination, he began to push himself and his work even harder. Despite the fact that he did not release an album in 2010, it was definitely his most productive year thus far.

Instead of releasing an album over the summer, he started to work with several independent artists and started production on his next album "Sugar For Your Ears." Adam's work on "SFYE" also generated an interest by an A&R from Disturbing Tha Peace Records, giving Adam the opportunity to have his music heard by major artists. His work made its way overseas as well, gaining a summer feature on LSRfm.com (Leeds Student Radio) in the United Kingdom.

With a rapid increase in stature and workload, Adam Santoya's career looks to be healthier than ever and on its way to becoming solidified in the Hip Hop genre.
