 After Never was formed by five people who were tired of playing cookie cutter music. All of the members have the goal of not being shy to explore any musical possibility. They display this with their use of a vintage Rhodes, tambourines, and distinct progressions on their latest EP. They have a “Hey, let’s try this…” mindset, and are not content until each part has its own defining signature.

The band headed into Chicago's Gallery of Carpet studios with engineer/producer Brian Zieske (The Hush Sound, The Academy Is..., The Audition). They set out to create a record where each song had an individuality and distinct groove, yet still contributed to the overall feel. With both verses and choruses containing strong melody, their sound is captivating. The Hopeless Romantic EP was completed in early January 2007. After Never is using this to make their stamp in the swelling Chicago music scene.

After Never was founded in 2006 by Artie Woods (drums), Michael Murphy (bass), and Dennis Mitchell (guitar). The three friends wanted to accomplish their collective dream, to make music their life. The trio set out in search of a voice, B.J. Radigan was happy to fill that role with his unique, smooth style. Adam Cieslak (Mitchell's childhood friend and former band mate) then joined (guitar) to add further dynamic to the group.

The band has quickly landed shows with nationwide major label acts such as Kill Hannah (Atlantic) and the Pink Spiders (Geffen) and indie acts like Valencia (I Surrender Records) and Four Letter Lie (Victory). Armed with a rapidly growing fan base and catchy songs, After Never displays no signs of stopping soon. They have gained sponsorships from Random Clothing and C&C Drum Company. The members of After Never are on a mission to make their music heard, if you haven’t yet, they will make sure it’s only a matter of time.
