A Graceless Reign to begin recording on full-length
Hollywood, CA – A&R Select has revealed that A Graceless Reign will begin recording its first full-length CD this fall. The acoustic pop act recently signed with A&R Select, the leading independent A&R firm in Hollywood.
“We will be starting to record our first full-length CD come September,” Adam reveals. “It should be out in late October, around the same time we plan to start performing again.”
In the meanwhile, A Graceless Reign is making the final tweaks to the songs and gearing up for recording the new material.
“Right now I'm doing some recording and preproduction,” says Adam Ali of A Graceless Reign. And when he's not tied up recording, creative time is dedicated to composition. “I'm always writing new music,” says Adam, “even if it's just a line or two here and there. I'm in the process of finishing off several songs at the moment and getting them toned in for production.”
Besides working on his compositions, Adam is also polishing collaborations with the group's new guitarist, who, he says, is “an avid songwriter of the same breed.”
“Right now we're learning his songs, going through and making them ours,” he explains, discussing the process of making a song written by one member or another the product of the whole band.
The creative process, he explains, is a group effort, not just that of one or two people using a band to play their music. While Adam works on post-production, others are engaged in final decisions, “trying to rethink some songs, figure out what they would sound like given different rhythms behind them and deciding what instruments are and aren't needed in certain already-recorded songs.”
“A Graceless Reign,” says Adam, “is made up of some extremely talented young artists. You should watch out for our full-length in late October. It will be available through our A&R Select storefront.”

Here's a short history of how we got together.
We'll start of with myself (Adam). A Graceless Reign started as my solo project away from my band -now called Two Years Gone- but eventually I started to pull away from the hard rock of my other band.
Eventually Lisa and I had a music class together and we started writing songs together such as Yesterday and Give me a Chance. Unlike in the Demos Lisa usually doesn't sing live.
Tyler and I have been friends for a few years and is also the Bassist In my other band. He has very recently started working with me on songs for this band and I am very greatful for it.
As for our drummer, All the drums on these recordings have been done by myself. There is someone who's shown some interest but has yet to play with us. Until then, we will just play without a drummer
Lisa and I started to drift apart musically so the adition of a new guitarist was needed. Andrew M. was added to the band this Augest. Him and I met last year on a trip to Califoria and have kept in touch since then. His ear for music and ability to come up with outstanding riffs is a great asset to the band.
Demo's
all of the songs on this page are demo's. Without -until recent- a full band, recording demo's have been the only way to complete a song and try new things. Since recording each song has changed and evolved.
Lead guitar on Give Me A Chance was done by my lead guitarist of Two Years Gone. Piano and some other instrumentals on Yesterday were done by Peter Nikkel, a very good friend and teacher of 5 years. All tracks that say (Studio demo) have been recorded and mastered by myself with the help of Nikkel and Lisa at our school studio The Blue Spot.
