Welcome to Alex McNamara's website. Alex is a 29 year old professional Actor, Vocalist, and Percussionist based in SE London.
He recently appeared as a lead vocalist & presenter in Honda's Live Action Arena at the British International Motor Show 2008, on the Festival Stage at Excel London - sharing a spot with Status Quo, Meatloaf, Blondie, Deep Purple and Jools Holland amongst others.
Alex appeared in the London West End production of "WE WILL ROCK YOU" at the Dominion Theatre from 2005 - 2007, where he covered and extensively played the villain "Khashoggi"... essentially spending more than two & a half years gigging six nights a week with one of the finest rock bands around: including seasoned British players Phil Hilborne, Spike Edney, Alan Darby, Tony Bourke, Laurie Wisefield of Wishbone Ash, Neil Murray of Whitesnake: and of course periodically Brian & Roger of Queen.
For Christmas 2008, Alex will be appearing as the role of "Hakim" in "ALADDIN": at the Broadway Theatre in Peterborough, alongside Ray Quinn (X-Factor), Brian Capron (Coronation Street) and Faye Tozer (Steps).Please lend Alex your support by listening to his first studio recording as a solo artist/producer: "The Second Voyage". The EP consists of original and cover songs from a variety of genres, including a remake of the 1974 Queen song: "Seven Seas of Rhye" (used with special permission from Brian May).
