Alicia Faith was born in Atlanta and raised in Slidell, Louisiana until the age of 12. Her family then moved to Salt Lake City where Alicia starting singing in a local church choir.
Growing up in a blended family with five younger brothers, a true brady bunch, she found peace in the hectic household by listening to music and finding comfort in lyrics.
Artists such as Melissa Ethridge, Whitney Houston, Stevie Wonder, George Michael and the late great Michael Jackson inspired her powerful and soultry voice.
After graduating from Sacramento State University with degrees in Psychology and Spanish she realized her true passion in life was music and auditioned for a local band in Utah.
Alicia’s music is driven by a comfort with her sexuality and life experiences. She auditioned for American Idol in 2008 and was one of 200 finalist from Salt Lake City.
Alicia's goal in music is to tell her own stories and help people relate them to situations in their own lives.
It's not uncommon to find her at the hospital beside of an elderly women singing "Amazing Grace" or practicing vocal drills with a gifted nine year old singer in need of a confidence boost.
