About Artist
From singing in local choirs, to performing in several live plays and taking the stage at prestigious venues, Amanda Ducorbier effortlessly captured the attention of her audiences at a young age. Friends and family of Ducorbier took notice of an unforgettable presence and talent early on. By the age of 17, Amanda's musical resume included work with a range of musical power houses in New Orleans, Los Angeles, and Atlanta. Influenced by her hometown of New Orleans and the soulful stylings of Etta James, Billie Holiday, and Lena Horne, this singer/songwriter's sound is best described as "pop with a soulful vibe."
In spring of 2010, Lynne Spears, mother of multi-platinum selling artist, Britney Spears, took an immediate interest in Amanda's talent, and still continues to mentor the young singer. Recently, Ducorbier has traveled from coast to coast recording with widely-respected production houses such as Luke Walker of Pulse Recordings in Burbank, CA, Matt Tortorich of Atomic Studios in New Orleans, and Eric Krasno and Adam Deitch of Fyre Dept (Royal Family Records) in Brooklyn, NY. In February of 2011, she filmed her first music video to her self-written song "Psycho" in New Orleans. Ducorbier is currently finding her niche as a live performer, and working on fresh material that she cannot wait to share!
Ducorbier is a graduate from Louisiana State University with a degree in Communication Studies and a minor in Psychology.
