About Band
Armoured Assault was formed November 2008 with Mike Menza and Andrew Smith. We made it quite clear that we were gonna be thrashing. After working on writing 2 or 3 songs we decided to audition Cam Dorland. Now at first the kid did not really listen or play thrash but he was a hell of a lead player! He has really evolved as a guitarist now and is writing riffs that are blowing our minds. Cam has helped shape a couple of our songs like Zombie Apocalypse, Cycle of Abuse, and he kicked Menza's ass to relearn the Fear.
So after jamming for a couple months we brought in Jesse Gran on bass. Unfortunately we had to let him go due to personal differences in the band. In come Ryan Strecker on bass and Bryce Carver on vocals.
Ryan came in and picked up all of our songs really quick and started writing his own bass lines around them, which impressed Andrew, Cam and I. Now to explain Bryce's voice take Chuck Schuldiner from the Scream Bloody Gore era and Chuck Schuldiner from the Sounds of Perseverance era and you have Bryce's voice. He has helped contribute to some more violent, angry and hateful lyrics.
