August Redemption is a hard rock 5 piece band from Cairns, Australia. After playing in Global Battle of the Bands in 2009 Denny Burgess stated "August Redemption has got a chance to make it big".
At present August Redemption are writing new material for their follow up to 2008's "Liquid Courage EP". Hoping to get more exposure throughout Australia.
After winning FIGJAM battle of the bands 2008, which was also the bands very first show. They toured extensively throughout north Queensland, playing in places such as The Top Pub in Cooktown all the way down to Imperial Tavern, Innisfail. The songs express a view on life of one man. From birth to death and all the gritty details in between.
Shortly after the release of "Liquid Courage EP" the band did a long line of shows to support the release. They've since focused on writing new material for their debut album which they hope to release late 2011. "The True Line" shows a unique side of August Redemption that hasn't been seen or heard before. Part of "Curse" where vocalist David Randle says "I shoot, I shoot my gun I'll take out everyone" shows a dark side.
In 2011, August Redemption is starting to show a massive change in musical direction and so their story continues... Cause it's far from over...
