Avision Red arose from the ashes of Ember as guitarist Josh and drummer Shawn sought to continue their lives as musicians. Their choice of bassist came easily, DJ, a self-taught musician who had yet to make his first major debut. All that remained was a leader.  With their unique sound and obsessive perfection, they needed someone who stood out above the rest.  Who better than an old friend who spent sleepless nights playing guitar and channeling the late Freddy Mercury.  With David there to complete the circle, the musical journey could begin.

 

Since then, Avision Red has taken their love of technical rock from form to function. The quartet could be considered the best kept secret of the Denver local scene, taking the last year to practice and sharpen their music as opposed to playing an abundance of shows.  Aside from their unique melodic sound, Avision Red has set themselves apart from the rest by taking pride in being a true entity. Like any other band, they argue, they yell, they fight over the small things.  But they are true artists and relentless perfectionists, going to no end to get their way.  Few musicians these days take pride in their stage performance, but Avision Red’s goal is to make sure every audience member hears them at their best, sees them at their finest, and takes that experience home with them.  Each and every one will fall asleep with ringing ears and a smile on their face, from beginning to end.
