I am proud to open up the Battle of Bands site, today!!
This should be very fun and rewarding, for start up bands. Whether it may be acoustic solo, or rock bands.
It maybe Metal, or Hard rock bands, or Regular rock groups. We're staging up for competition in all these classes.
It will be a simple vote for your group, after each round. We will have 6 groups compete the first round. Then we will take about 1/2 hour to total up the votes. The final round will be between 2 bands and also judged by only votes.
You will need to have 2 originals ready for the first round ( we will only except unlabeled artists ) . Then we will ask you for a third song also, which will only be used in the final if you make it.
We will delete all entries after each week, ecept the ones moving on to the finals.
I myself have been in bands, and done the live battle thing. This will be alot more acurate, and a broader scope of listeners after the word gets out. And you can sit at home without having to wait for the 12 o'clock spot on stage.
Will your music be excepted good by the audience? You will have a better chance at evening the votes, even if your not from that area.
We will have some sort of winner, battle off also!!
Each round for that week will be awarded a prize (yet to be determined). And the finals at the end of each month will play off for the final prize. Each class of music will have the elimination rounds, and a final on each Saturday. ...So the best of acoustic, the best of metal, and the best of rock, will be judge by votes seperately. And the top winner of each will be in the final at end of the month .
There will be alot of time to get your first 3 songs together, and Mp3 them to dougledel@yahoo.com (to be only used in this competition, by this site only, no copies will be made of any tunes sent in by contestants other than this venue)
So when you send in your songs, you will be put into the catagory that your competing in at the same time!!!!!!!
Songs must be in by 6:00 pm on the day before the competion!!!!! No entry will make the cut after 6 p.m. And will be deleted quickly.
Please when voting just put band name on enter bar--Example-- "i vote for ready rockers" nothing more than that, because we will be adding up the totals manually at first. Just the Bands name is important.
Again.... we are not in the business of promoting, or managing. We just want to change a couple things about battling, and keeping it fair!!!
