About Band
Formed in the endless summer of 2002, BattleStar has been reinventing music in a way that boggles the mind, while still maintaining a very heavy sound. This "Power trio" has been influenced by a wide variety of styles, and somehow manages to bring a sound that is unique and refreshing into a world of cookie-cutter mainstream bands.
Members are Diego Ponssa on vocal and guitars, Jeremy Phipps on bass and Mike McCracken on drums. Each of them brings a unique style and background of music.
Diego with his Spanish guitar/Hardcore roots, Jeremy with his Jazz Fusion/Death Metal and Mike with his Heavy Metal/Thrash-Industrial punk. Hailing from Tampa Bay Florida , BattleStar has incredible raw talent and is a force to be reckoned with.
