About Band
Divine-The Mind has been producing music for the past 12 years, and prior to that had been doing his first love, D.J.ing 6 years prior, in which he learned from his eldest cousin, while living in Toledo, Ohio. When he returned to New Orleans, he had been recording artist from local areas old school style, with a 4 track in the back of grandmas house, with a home made booth the fellas like to call The Sweat Box. He got his break when a studio owner he had been bringing business to, named Aubrey Francis, called him up to audition tracks for Juvenile's up and coming label, UTP Records. The two hit it off instantly. This led to Divine touring with the label for 1.5 years. Riding with artists like Skip, Wacko, Corey C, Young Buck, and Juvy. Rubbing shoulders with artists like Jadakiss, Fat Joe, Bun b, Mean Green, and JT The Bigga Figga to name a few. His ride with the label hit brakes when the legal aspects started to affect his pay with the label and CMR. Divine decided to return to the N.O., with unburned bridges and finish his mixtapes, which can be purchased on-line, and a couple of albums. Divine has pushed out a couple of joints with UTP..Skip, Live from Hollygrove, and a joint on DJ dramas original Gangster Grillz Mixtape., but he is now concentrating on his own albums, which include a jazz fusion album, a rap album, a DJ mix CD, and slangin' beats on the net.
