About Artist
Hallo, and thanks for listening to my electronic noodlings. Here is the why of it all:
I had my first piano lesson in 1980, and my last in 1983. I saw my first real analogue synth in 1985 and started multitracking using multiple tape recorders. In 1987 I had my first go in a studio with a sequencer, and have never looked back. Since then I have learned much, in performance, technology and music appreciation. Currently I work as writer/engineer/producer at the Buzzstation studio in Fleetwood, Lancashire. I also have a day job and am raising a son.
Big Wheel is my first solo project, started in 2006 as more of a technical exercise than anything, but which has quickly developed into something I have become very fond of, and which, in places, oozes my self-expression in its purest form. The tracks cover Drum n Bass, House, Breakbeat, Trip Hop, Lounge Soul and pop, and there are a couple of examples of each on this site, where you'll find some of the twenty tracks I have written since starting this project. If you like them, there's lots more available for free download at http://www.soundclick.com/bigwheel
Currently all the tracks are instrumental, and many will remain so, but one or two are earmarked for vocals and dance remixes, so watch this space for those, and for the rest of the tunes on my forthcoming demo album, entitled 'Rollin'. That's it. I hope you like the tunes, and I am open to anything anyone has to say to me about them so please drop me a line at theonlyrealdave@hotmail.co.uk and let me know what you think.
Cheers for your attention.
Dave
