Hello,my name is billcarter,I have been on this ole road of life for sometime now. I have always been into all kinds of music,from hank to hendrix,zep to skynrd and pretty much everything in between.        I started playing  guitar when I was about 14. I would try and play along with mom and dads old 33 records,hank wlliams, johnny ,waylon,willie,e.tubb,etc......anyway,I guess you could say my roots were country for sure!!! I didn't start writting my own songs until the mid 80's down in atlanta,ga. Up until a few years ago,I was happy playin and singin for friends and family,then one day I said, why don't I do something with my music,after all it's mine and I'm content with it as long as I am able to,I'm gonna write songs and melodies!!!  Most of my songs are based on life experience's I've had,both good and bad. I find it's like therapy for me to put my thoughts into music. My songs are simple and to the point,and I find most everybody can relate to them. I know that somewhere in my family tree was music,my dad had 17 brothers and sisters and were from west virginia,virginia and parts unkown but I'm sure being a carter has to trace back to mountain folk music.
