performance poet. african drummer. writer. performing for over 12 years here and abroad . south africa , jamaica. all over the uk. worked with the likes of vivian jones. close friend of benjahmin zephaniah.steel pulse. boom shaka in jo-burg. met some of the drummers from drum cafe . played drums at the cradle of humankind. jammed with the brothers in soweto, partied at the pyramid till dawn.recorded loads released a little bit till the right deal comes along . book and dvd coming on strong great response so far. have lots of bookings in schools and colleges and community centres. the drums the drums is a regular comment followed by a feeling of release and calm. powa of da spoken word. just finshed a photo shoot with james brown from ub40. out and about with oscar from ocean colour scene. enough name calling gill scott heron is one of my early influences not forgeting the one and only maya angelou. malcolm x , paul bogle, steve biko.sidney pottier, to name a few not forgetting marcus garvey , nelson mandela. which is reflected in my music and poetry as part of my ongoing re education socila issues with a touch of love and a vision fo hope for the future. utopian ? hell yeah im guilty. www.myspace.com/birrydrumnation www.angelfire.com/p[oetry/birry
