About Band
Well, I figure i'll put the real band bio in here since that is what it is for.
Bobby and I started jamming about 6 years ago. And since then we had trouble finding a bassist in the first place. We started to play covers 3 years ago when we first started dicking around with some old 80's and 70's metal and grunge. We had a bassist named emily, needless to say though, she was pothead, never showed up to practice and wasn't experienced enough. So we had to get rid of her. We had another guitarist come over and try out for the band, needless to say we scared him off because we intimitated him as he told us later. We tried out another gutiarist named aaron, and he didn't have the equipment to keep up with us. bobby And I got tired of trying to form our own band, so we joined a band called Desired Genocide. We left a few weeks after joining because they never showed up for practice and we're not dedicated to what they were doing at all. Since then we have jammed with many other musicians, gone through many names, and all of that shit. We then jammed with our first talented bass player 2 years ago. his name was josh, he is currently in the band soul Descenders. Great bunch of guys. We dicked around with him for awhile, and we still jam with him to this day. We settled on the name Blackend about a year ago, yet we we're still on the prowl for a bassist. I got a tip from a friend of mine about a bassist who lived in st charles named herbie. I didn't want to contact him because he lived so far away, but I was deseperate and said fuck it. I got in contact with him and eventaully we got him to come over for a try out. Since then, it has been history. We couldn't have asked for a better bassist to be with us right now, great attitude, great personality, and he has got us great amounts of supporters and he can play the guitar as well as the bass. So hes a great person to have in the band. Then came along this guy named Steve Craven.
We had high hopes for him anyway, but we never expected to hear what we heard the first time he came over. This boy completely blew us away and we instantly knew that he was our lead guitarist we had been looking for. With influences like Vai, Petrucci, and Satriani, we couldn't help but be impressed at the way he handled his instrument. We instantly welcomed him into the band with open arms and greeted him and accepted him as our own very quickly. It was good to finally find a lead guitarist as good as Steve. Then soon after, our boy had to go to college so Steve had to leave the band to go and do bigger things in life. Since then, we've played a good number of shows at the House of Rock and a few other places.
Well this is the story of Blackend, I hope you enjoyed it as much as we are enjoying it now. So until we see you center stage, Color our world Blackend.
P.S-we can only have one song on there because the rest of them are over 5 minutes.
