A LITTLE BIOGRAPHY......................................................................... Black Hole was born last year but until now the band has had some problems with the final choice of the musicians. The project of a new hard rock band started when 2 school friends who both play electric guitar and bass decided to share their love for rock. MARCO, the guitarist told Hibris (who is a guitarist too :p) about his intentions to start a rock band and started to find a singer and a drummer. They put in some announcements in local magazines. After a few weeks, Mariabeatrice, who just came back from an important stay in London (let's just call her BEATRICE), read one of Marco's announcements in a free magazine. She just spend 2 weeks in London where she won a karaoke competition at St.Patrick's Hall of Reading. With the support of her teacher, she decided to find a band where she could both sing and play guitar while making her favourite music: hard rock. Beatrice contacted Marco immediately, who started to have second thoughts about the band himself. The project was going to be abandoned by him, because nobody answered his announcements and his friends couldn't join the band. After the first meeting in Rovigo , Marco and Beatrice worked on a first song that has never been finished because they decided to find a drummer and a bass-guitar player. They started advertising on the internet and in magazines. Beatrice also got help from the owner of a famous music instruments shop. After a week they had been contacted by a lot of drummers, and they had a meeting at LUCA’s. Luca has got a big attic where they could try out the new drummers. The first try out was on 17 September on a rainy Sunday afternoon; they played with a fantastic bass player but he couldn't enter the band. In an hour they played 3 covers and their first song. The happiness of the members was great, and everything went great thanks to Luca's parents. The future of the band was assured by the unique style, mixing hard rock with good jazz notes. Black Hole had meetings once a week and soon had a good cover repertoire for a live show. It wasn’t possible to play live though, because the band missed a bass player. They played the last months of 2006 with 3 different bass players but nobody could join the band. It was until January that NICO entered as a bass player. He also sings falsetto style imitating Freddy Mercury, Bon Scott and Justin Hawkins. Beatrice decided to concentrate only on singing, so soon the band realized they needed a second guitarist. The band had a difficult time since the end of December ‘06 up to February ‘07. They decided to contact a new solo guitarist because Marco started to miss the practice sessions because he was having some personal problems. Luca and Beatrice didn’t think about quitting the band and with calm and constant patience, they found 2 musicians, first guitarist PIETRO Beraldo ( Berry ) and second guitarist PIETRO Pozzato. On the 18th of March the renewed band practiced in Luca’s attic and the musicians had been invited to play at Hot Road (FE) the same evening. Berry and Pietro learned the songs fast, so the band decided to have a first live act where they played some covers and enlivened the jam session of the evening. The band decided to change its name, reminding Luca’s attic, where it practices every week, and the background of this mysterious space. Black Hole became BLACK HALL, and we really hope to get up and running very soon!
