About Artist
Im Blake Mitchell, and welcome to my page! I am 22, and am from Blackwood in south Wales! Ive had a love of music all my life, it offered me an opportunity to escape as a kid1 I had a hard time growing up, and i wont lie and say that music saved my life, that would just be a complete exageration, but it offered me the opportuntiy to divert my attention elsewhere. I write my own material, although i havent really had the opportuntiy to publically perform my own material, i am hoping that i have built up enough of a repor with certain people, that this year will give me the opportunity to do that! I get influenced by pretty much anything to be honest! Mainly things that goes on around me, things that trigger emotions i suppose. For instance the other day i was out shopping, and there was a lady walking around the shopping centre with a trolly collecting rubbish from bins. I kind of thought to myself why she would be doing that, and what kind of life she must have, and trying to imagine what she goes home to everyday, is there anyone for her at home? Not only that, but the attitudes towards her from other people when they see her in the bins! So i'm in the middle of finishing a song called "Dont judge me", mand its basically about that lady!
Obviously like all artists i hope to live the dream, i mean who wouldnt. To have members of the public listening to music you have written, and for people to say that your music has influenced them in someway! That to me is really important! On this page i have grouped myself with regard to the styles of music that i sing. To be honest i want to try a bit of everything. I want to be diverse, and try everything. I dont believe in covering other peoples music, to me your just singing someone elses thoughts, and for me music is about expression of the artist, and thats why i want people to like my music, it would mean that people are on the same level, and they understand and can communicate with the things i am talking about! I do plan on putting some music on this page, it would be pretty pointless otherwise! I am hoping to that soon, so watch this space and speak to you soon!
