About Band
Gary Stewart and Tim Bush formed BookEndz in late 2006. Both on vocals and guitar, their tight harmonies, lead guitar solos by Gary and smooth rhythms by Tim create a unique sound unlike any other acoustic duet in the area. BookEndz plays at various venues around Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania. With their wide variety of genres from Johnny Cash to Incubus, they attract music lovers of all ages.
Group Members:
Tim Bush: Born and raised in South Greensburg PA, Tim started singing at a very young age in the church and high school choirs. At the age of 18 he learned how to play the guitar. Tim was the lead vocalist and played acoustic guitar for 20 years in the classic rock band HY-5, which was based out of Ligonier PA, perfoming songs from artists such as John Mellencamp, Tom Petty, ZZ Top and The Scorpions, just to name a few. Shortly after learning the guitar, songwriting became a strong part of his playing. In 2003, he began working on his first CD, which is titled " A New Day Will Dawn".
Gary Stewart: Started his musical career in San Diego Calif. performing the coastal club circuit. During that time he studied with classical recording artist "John Dearman" of the Los Angeles Guitar Quartet, and jazz recording artist "Peter Sprague", Since coming to live in the Pittsburgh area, Gary has played with various jazz artists and blues bands. He also teaches guitar to students young and old.
