"We were born in the generation of this music. The evolution of things to come we were and still are a part of. Without thinking we were a part of the 4 elements of Hip Hop. We use to b-boy as kids just cause it was fun. It felt like everyone, scratched and broke their parent’s vinyl collection.Rapping and emceeing was the one thing that let us express ourselves without the need of the dollar, all we needed was our mind and heart. We didn’t have to buy paint, tables, and needles it was like dancing but with a voice."

They are the sound of the north. The east has it’s distinct sound as does the West and South. Brakada’s home is Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. The gateway to the East and to the West.

Brakada adds a very unique element to Hip Hop. Their sound is the harmony of those artist before them who have influenced their style. With an impressive flow, smooth sound, sick rhymes, and tracks you won't forget, Brakada has quickly earned the respect and admiration of many fans.

Brakada was chosen as the Best Live Act by Uptown Magazine for their performance at the 2001 Peg City Holla.

Performed at the Sport Compact Nights Winnipeg

Performed and Mc'd North Dakota’s 1st ever import car show in Fargo, USA.

Rocked crowds in an annual outdoor event in the USA @ Red Lake Falls, MN 3 years running.

Participated in the Hip Hop Helps too Tsunami Relief fundraiser.

Brakada’s Track “Age of the New” features in The Hip Hop Peg City compilation CD.

Played in venues at various location all over Winnipeg, as well as Montreal and Vancouver.

Songs played on campus radio 95.9 fm and 101.5 fm
