Officially became Captain Trips on 26th February 2007. It all started when Proudey gave me (Foz) a ring and said, "you wanna be in a band?". At the time I wasn't in a band, or ever had been one for that matter, so I said "OK". Proudey also got in touch with Richard who incedently, also said "OK". Then we just went from there, and so, from the sound of a finely tuned Fender Tele, the buzz of finely stacked Marshall amps, and the ring of finely crafted Zildjian cymbals, the story begins...
...then Robin came... the Renegade of Funk and Ryton Country Club Hotel's finest 5 star Michelin chef...
...then on the 24th of July came a sad day for Captain Trips and all who enjoy our music, t'was the day Richard was no longer a Captain, he is now just Richard. However, we must continue, and continue we will, as the Three Amigos once said "One for all and all for one"... anyway, yeah, so its just us three for now, if another guitarist pops up then great, and as my old dad used to say...
You're listening to four new tracks from our EP, 'Deafened by Silence.' We've recently finished recording at Digital Garden in Winlaton and hope to be organising some gigs in the near future. Hope you enjoy the music!
