About Artist
Rapper, Producer, Songwriter. There is absolutely nothing Cardel can do and he promises himself never to set the limit. His raw talent can be seen on his debut album, The Kid, where he produced over half the tracks. Cardel was born over seas in Weisbaden, Germany due to his father's military assignment. From there, he moved to Fort Hood, Texas but after his father died when he was only six, he moved with his mom and older sister to his parents hometown, Pittsburgh, PA. With the help of his family, Cardel's mother went back to school and was able to saved up enough money to buy a house in a Pittsburgh suburb. His mother always told him that she wanted him to have everything she did not have as a child. Cardel hopes to one day return the favor. Even though his mother moved to the suburbs to keep her son away from the street life, Cardel gradually made himself more aware of the environment the streets provided. He credits his entire personality to many of the things he saw on the streets of his hometown. He started rapping at the very young age of 13, but did not start to take it seriously until he was 16. At that age, he heard "Life's A Bitch" by Nas and AZ and it changed his life. Everyday in school he would write verses and songs. He admits that most of them were subpar and laughs when he remembers the number of erasers he went through. He eventually joined a group, Arsinol, whom he met through a mutual friend. With Arsinol, Cardel was introduced to the studio and that fueled his drive to write. Through Arsinol Cardel met a local super producer by the name of Arson. Arson taught Cardel how to make beats and motivated him to work on an album. From there on Cardel has seen nothing but progress. He graduated from high school and was accepted into North Carolina A&T State University in Greensboro, NC. There he met many other artists and producers. Cardel produced songs for Nephew, an A&T student from Virginia, Dough Boy, another A&T student from Raleigh, North Carolina and also a group from Lumberton, North Carolina by the name of 3 The Hardway. Cardel is currently working on his second album, yet to be titled and is also producing and writing for Couture Productions. He is also in the process of writing a screenplay. So, as you can tell, it is easy to see that the limits are invisble for this multi talented, soon to be superstar.
