HI EVERYONE!!!! My name is charlotte but all my friends call me charlie, so feel free to call me what ever you choose :)
Well then, what can i say lol...
Music has been a massive part of my life since i can remember, my mum always tells me that i was singing before i could talk lol, wether that is right or not i don't know lol. Im very passionate about all kinds of music, i believe that all genres have their own unique qualities.
I was brought up on Jazz mostly, due to my dad playing the Trombone in 2 jazz bands, 1 of them being his own called ' The Graham Woodhouse Jazz band'. The other band is the one he works with the most, which is called 'The Pete Alan Jazz band'. They are not famous or anything lol but they are known as professionals. The band formed over 40 years ago ( my dad wasnt in it at the start lol hes not that old lol). I always go to him for advice on reading music ect, because im not fluent in that area just yet :)
Another of my passions, is i write all my own songs and lyrics they all mean something and are all about things that have happened in my life. I love writing about love, i feel like my voice is suited better singing love songs and ballads, i think i have a soft voice ( but has power when i need it). I do try and write about other things but love seems really easy to write about ( which is a well known fact aparantly). I do all my recordings at a studio called 'Snug recordings', they are brilliant and very professional. When i write the music, i tend to do it by ear due to not being able to read music properly.
For my 18th i got a new piano, which is a baby grand, im never off it lol i sometimes make my family wish they never got it me lol, but they do encourage me heeps!!!!! The best feeling in the world is when your family is proud of you dont you think? :).
I did music at college for two years, so i do have knowlege of the industry and basic theory ect. I loved it!!! best days of my life. I did music performance, which helped me gain much more confidence. I love performing, my family and friends all says that i perform better infront of an audience :), but i do enjoy the recording side. I also did a recording class too, so i have knowlege of using logic. I had an assigment to do, were i had to complete a track all done by my self, including mixing it and then mastering it ect, it was well good, i enjoyed it!! but i only got a merit! lol, i admit it was abit on the shit side lol.
Well then, what can i say about my dreams...mmmmmm...
Obviouly i would be lying if i said that i didn't want to make money out of doing my music lol, so thats my dream really :) to have a job that you are really passionate about, and wanting to get up in the morning lol; but you have to be at the right place at the right time! I wouldn't care if i didn't get noticed because i love it anyway, i would never give my music up for anything in this world!
Well thats all i can come up with to do with my music :) so i will leave it at that lol. If there is anything else that you would like to know or ask me, feel free to do so :) xx
I do have other hobbies and interests like horses and men! lol but thats not what i'm on here for, so...
