City began rapping at the young age of thirteen, it started while listening to old school rap songs entirely through, then kicking his own freestyles to the end of each song(last 30 seconds of instumental). He began gaining respect around his town and surrounding areas for his natural talent to freestyle. Then with hopes of many of his friends and supporters in his home town of Columbus, he decided to make a life changing move. Inthe fall of 2002, City left his home town of Columbus, Ohio to New York City in order to pursue his dream in the music industry. In NYC is where he established a relationship with 'The Supa-Engineer' Ariel ( P. Diddy, kanye West, Black Eyed Peas, T.I, Just Blaze and many others dated back to '97)and quickly put him on his indie label Westward Productions, NYC. Being from the midwest made him prone to the stereotypical views in which many people may assume here in New York. As he attended different open-mic sessions and showcases either in NYC, Philly, and his home state of Ohio, he began to draw the attention and gain the respect of many upcoming producers, as well as established producers and artists. With his natural delivery and ability to adapt to every beat, not to mention his talent to freestyle like no other, and his songwriting skill,  creating an image of reality rather than illusions makes him different from many emcees today.
