My name is C.J. Wills, I am from Baltimore Maryland, heart of the ghetto. The name CMD is simple to understand. My first initial, and the state of Maryland.  CMD.

Music is my life. I started really developing an understanding of music at the age of 7. I found a love for singing in the church choir.  I always wanted to sing leads to songs, I remember when I got my first lead at church singing "Are You Ready" by Fred Hammond, I was so struck with Adrenaline that I walked off the stage, down the aisle, singing in the faces of those in attendance.

Through the years I developed a passion for music, broadening my horizons to all aspects of music, which enhanced my vocal range.  I began writing songs in the 6th grade.  My poems have been locally recognized, songs also.

I have developed a resume for myself, singing backup for many Gospel artists such as Rock Nation, William Murphy, Benita Washington, Rod Lumpkin, Kirk Franklin, and many others.

I have been singing since the age of 8. During my high school years, after hearing "Benita Applebaum", I tried rap. I wasn't that good at it. Basically because I thought there was an image that had to go along with it. No so. Not everyone looks good in tall-T's with their pants sagging.  Through time, I developed my own style, and through popularity and being a constant hit at dances and parties, developing a local night life, I had been given the nickname "Rockstar." (Long story.) But anyways, I starting with my own style, tried rap again, and was a hit.  Now after a 3 year absence, the lyricist in me has returned (with motivation from friend and fellow artist Cain) and I feel like I'm on fire. I learned through time I will be way more successful if I am myself.  With God as my witness, I will die singing on stage. My passion is that deep, and I will continue to scratch the walls of the music industry until they let me in.
