About Artist
Well.. Where do I start ?..
I've been into the dance music scene since about 11 years old. My brother Karl introduced me to 'The Orbit' back in '93 listening to Old Skool Hardcore mix tapes from past events. Dj Sy, Top Buzz, Brisk, Druid, Slipmatt, Carl Cox were a few of my favourites back then.
Around '96 I found my love of 'House' mainly listening to mix tapes from the 'Ark'. Dj Sy, Anne Savage, Tony De Vit, Vertigo, Rob Tissera, Ian Ossia, Dream Frequency, CJ Bolland to name a few.
By 98' I found myself drawn to the Trance scene and bought my first pair of turntables and begain to Dj. One of my favourite early Trance tracks has to be 'Qattara Qattara' On Steel Fish Black. There were so many great tracks from that era. Binary Finary, Veracocha - Carte Blanche, Gouryella - Gouryella. One of my favourite tracks has to be The Digital Blonde - Legato.
In late 2001 I experienced my first Hard house night. Uropa - Leeds. I absolutely loved the energy of the music and the people within the scene were all there for 1 reason. The music ! After hearing tracks like Tony De Vit - The Dawn, Are You All Ready, Justin Bourne - Drop The dime, Lisa Lashes - Unbelievable, Wierdo - Photic Zone I was pretty much (in the words of the 99th floor elevators) HOOKED! Andy Farley, Paul Janes, Mark Grey, Justin Bourne, Rob Tissera, Stimulant Djs, Karim, Paul Glazby to name a few great Djs. The list goes on...
By 2006 I found myself drifting away from the harder sounds and looking for something different. I was pretty much in limbo looking for something new then got slapped round the face by Electro. I was really impressed by the heavy basslines, querky percussion and the fact it almost crosses over into the mainstream without being utter cheese. Although like any genre there is some shite about.
So now I've got into Music Production.
Genres I have Produced so far include....House / Electro, Hard Dance.
I'm really getting into Breaks at the moment so I may venture that way in the future but who knows.
Thanks for reading my waffle.
Craig :)
