Demetrius “D’ Angel” McGhee also known as Demi-Doc is a world renowned Grammy nominated multi-platinum award winning producer, artist, and instrumental extraordinaire. Audiences everywhere have marveled at the hard soothing sounds of D’ Angel on the keys, felt the velocity of the guitar, while being seduced by the electric melodies of D’ Angel and the Creation. D’ Angel has performed across the world including but not limited to touring in Europe and abroad. He has worked as a songwriter, producer, performer, arranger, and instrumentalist for several Grammy Award winning national recording artists including but not limited to Ashanti, Keyshia Cole, R. Kelly, Lloyd, Bobby Brown, Memphis Bleek, Toni Braxton, Shyne, (American Idol) Rubben Studdard, Disney Mania, Floetry, Fat Joe, Opus Okeben, Trick Daddy, and countless others. He has performed as a musician with DC’s own genre of music Go-Go renowned recording artist: Art of Junk, Elements Band, Sugar Bear & EU, Chuck Brown, and Maiesha & the Hip-Huggers. D’ Angel has also worked with churches and gospel ensembles in various capacities. He has performed on every national television station appearing on shows such as The View, The Today Show, BET’s 106 & Park, CNN, and a host of other numerous syndicated channels. D’ Angel was the musical director and band leader for Ashanti. He is affiliated with Universal Music Group, Ensign Music, Famous Music, Def Jam, and The Inc. Records. D’ Angel was introduced to Irv Gotti by Chink Santana and his overall personality and talent drove Top Dawg Productions to sign D’ Angel in 2004 to a four year contract that ended February 2008. Upon launching his career as a solo artist D’Angel changed his name representing a new beginning. D’ Angel has a stage presence that captivates audiences of all ages, nationalities, and genders. D’ Angel is the most driven and passionate musical prodigy that can mesmerize everyone as he effortlessly glides across the keyboards. D’ Angel developed Electric Sky Records an independent record label. The label created The Music Box Studio a community inspired program designed to provide aspiring artist an opportunity to enhance their musical abilities, encourage and motivate members of the youth to explore the various aspects of music, and inspire artist to pursue careers in the entertainment industry. D’ Angel supports both “Save the Music” and “Dream the Impossible Dream” foundations.
