Danny Ray Hubbard is a native Californian who moved to Seattle, Washington in December of 2003 to become an important fixture in the Emerald City's rich music culture.  Having started his career in Los Angeles as a humble background vocalist and musical arranger with The Jimmy Jules Trio in the early 1980s, Hubbard has long sought to fuse R & B, gospel, Native American music (See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Native_American_music), and hip-hop with West Coast jazz.  Hence, his expansive experimentation has lead to numerous projects and collaborations--including recording sessions with the likes of the late, great Seattle vocalist Douglas Taylor, award winning guitarist Mark Holmes, Native-American vocalist Indian Sheri, STBG, Portland, Oregon vocalist Gansta Vo, saxophonist David Blanks, The 148th Street Jazz Players (See http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=psH65yO1aas, and hip-hop mega stars Rise & Concise (See http://www.soundclick.com/bands/default.cfm?bandID=119772). 

Though known primaily for his rich vocal tenor and awe-inspiring lyrics, Hubbard is actually somewhat of a Renaissance Man.  He is not only regarded by the industry as a fine singer, arranger, songwriter, composer, producer, audio mastering engineer, and musician (piano, keyboards, harmonica, percussion); he also happens to be the executive editor of A Voice in the Wilderness Magazine (an Advant Garde publication which focuses on the Christian life-style) and a highly sucessful published author with several books of poetry, belles letters, and myraids of critically acclaimed essays, including his famous "Harlem Renaissance Resurrected (See http://search.barnesandnoble.com/Harlem-Renaissance-Resurrected/Daniel-R-Hubbard/e/9781424117116/?itm=1&USRI=hwrlem+renaissance+resurrected#TABS," to his credit.
