Jazz vocalist, vocal percussionist, and keyboardist Dan Palmere has been influenced by many musical genres. At a young age, he was exposed to timeless and classic artists by his grandparents including: Glenn Miller, Benny Goodman, Frank Sinatra, and Tony Bennett. These roots in jazz and other music led him to study piano and vocal technique for several years, subsequently bringing Dan to Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA, where he currently is studying. He plans to receive his bachelor's degree in Music Therapy, while still being able to perform. His new direction in music is combining the use of vocal textures and sounds with his talent in vocal percussion. The main idea is utilizing the voice to become like an instrument. Dan's other interests include reading, meditation, writing comedic scripts, attending live sporting events, and spending time with his family and friends.
