About Artist
I've been playing guitar and singing to audiences for 25 years. There was a time, many moons hence, when I warmed up on the college folk circuit for Tracy Chapman. A two-decade career as a high school history teacher and principal later, and I am ready to start anew my career playing music. I want to tour and stay up late and drink bad coffee and sleep in the backseat of my 1976 Chevy Impala wagon. I've done my upstanding citizen career thing. I was good at it. Now I'm ready to experience the road, as a performer. In the late 1970s and early 1980s I used to drive around the country and see Dead shows and play music for food. In the 1990s I drove around the Great Plains and took pictures of tornadoes. I was born to tour.
I am interested in finding a record company who would help me produce my 1st real CD and who would help me arrange gigs and tours.
I am not a fool. I've been around. I am not looking for a label to take any financial risk on an overweight, middle aged folk musician who won't make them much money. I'm happy to pay my share. I just want to do this thing, and do it right.

I have 9 original tracks online for your review. They are raw, unedited tracks. I recorded them all in my office in one hour and 32 minutes. They're mostly first takes. I've done some "professional" recording (back in the 1980s and 1990s), but these lowbrow recordings seem like a good way to introduce myself. I hope you like them.
