Darren Daigrepont is a Horror Metal artist with a unique brand of Horror Metal! With the influences of all types of Metal, and LOTS of Horror Films. Born in Athens, Greece on May 8, 1983 under the U.S. Air Force, and moved to Delaware in 1987, Darren has done music since the tender age of 5. Starting with piano, guitar at 6 (he has put his guitar in and out of the closet several times until officially taking guitar lessions at 15), vocals at 11 as he was tapped to perform with the elementary school choir, bass at 17 and later drums by the time he was 18. By the time he was 19, and had graduated from high school in 2002, he has spent the next 5 years playing in and out of bands due to lack of committment from the other bandmates. From hardcore band, Product of Society, to cover bands like New Fury, and has auditioned for quite a few between 2004-05 until he took a different turn, and decided to play his own originals, and attempt to form his own band. In 2005, he had formed Cyberdemon, the name will later change to Haunted Chapel. After a few months with only Darren on guitar, and Tom on drums, the band attempt had failed as Tom moved to Florida without notifying Darren about it. He spent a two year period of 2005-07, cleaning office buildings at the Dover AFB, and writing his Horror-esq lyrics. In 2007, he had decided to quit his job at the base, and decided to get the band idea rolling again, reforming Haunted Chapel by August of 2007. After 7 months of bad auditions and failed line-ups, guitarist, Will Bently, and drummer, Derek McGinley, had jammed with Darren (who took the role of Bassist/Vocalist) for only 4 months, but things fell apart due to creative and musical differences between Darren and Will Bently. In anger, Darren had decided to disband Haunted Chapel, and Will and Derek carried on with new projects. As of the late fall of 2008, Darren has decided to go solo with his brand of Horror Metal, without any session musicians or bands, but doing the work himself: guitars, bass, drums, vocals, recording, mixing, writing lyrics, as well as keyboards. He has recorded the "True Delaware Horror Metal" 3-song demo in a week, and is currently being looked at by different independent metal record labels in Delaware and a fre others out of state. Out of bordem, Darren has recorded the 6-song album, "Evil Demonic Psycho", by early 2009 and still continues to record in a constant pace. THE DAWN OF A NEW HORROR ERA HAS BEGUN!
