About Artist
Davie Janeway (real name unknown) hails from the suburban outer-reaches of York, Yorkshire; a town known for 2 things:
1) York Minster
2) Shed 7
Davie is not a fan of age-old relics to forgotten eras, nor is he a fan of giant, glorified Church buildings.
Davie started to write songs at the tender age of 11. Early efforts include the classics 'Yoga' and 'Living in a hole'. Unfortunatly, all of Janeway's early work was lost in mysterious circumstances.
These days, Davie splits his time between writing and preparing for the apocalypse. Both pursuits seem to be paying off.
Unfortuantly, most of following influences are ubiquitous:
-Pixies
-Nirvana
-Radiohead
-Black Francis/Frank Black
-Django Reinhardt
-Echo & the Bunnymen
To sum up Davie Janeway's sound is a hard task but just so you know,
"Frank Black giving birth to a mechanical Catus monster while, in the background, Django Reinhardt yodels the soundtrack to a David Lynch movie" would be accurate enough.
