About Band
Days of Noah are both a Christian rock group from Evansville, Indiana, and a collaboration of less enlightened musicians from Northern England. The two groups are currently locked in a bitter legal battle over naming rights, but the latter are expected to win due to the former's Christian generosity.
This band is the latter.
Consisting of members from numerous other projects (Trees, Kókómjólk, Glockenspiel Club, Benjamin Bland and All The Instruments, Loveduck, The Winehouses et al), Days of Noah were formed in the winter of 2007 as a means of raising morale during the mild, post-global warming climate in which they found themselves. Early compositions such as "Where Did My Dog Go Last Night", "Football on the Roof" and "Find Me Some Treasure" surfaced in the form of minimalist howlings, but the foundations were laid for what would eventually become mildly-structured songs, but songs nonetheless. Spending hours scouring Wikipedia for nominal inspiration, these gentle souls were able to cobble together six songs which they felt demonstrated a reasonable effort on their behalves, and all that remained was the difficult process of recording. Upon discovering a studio located on the moors of West Yorkshire, Days of Noah decided that the time was nigh. A carefully orchestrated operation lasting less than six hours under the watchful eye of "Big" Steve Gligorovic produced a short E.P., hastily christened "Paints and Pigments".
