About Artist

I was born in Georgetown  Guyana, South Ruimveldt Park for those who know.  I moved to America when I was five and since my parents were seperate, I used to go and come alot as a child. I spent most of my time in East Flatbush Brooklyn, where I became a man. I was lucky enough to grow in a place with a great diversity of cultures, so I took advantage of that and embraced all of it . Even though I'm a guyanese, I never had any guyanese friends in america, I grew up with primarily americans and jamaicans, and those are the main influences in my music. I moved down to Atlanta GA when I was 25, and I first started to express myself with a group called 12 Tribe, but it was more of a hobby than anything else. My real experience as a singer/songwriter began when I moved to Athens GA  in the late 90's . I used to sit in with a band called Squat, thanks to my good friend Carl Lindberg, and then I made friends in that circle and soon began singing with thier bands too. It was a good way to pass the time, after a hard days work at baberitos. I got my first real singing gig with a band called Milele Roots in Chatanooga TN. Things went well for a while, but then I had to split due to the Izims, and Skizims, so I came back to atlanta and started singing with a band called ERE.

I sang with ERE for about six years, and then I realised that I would'nt be able to totally be myself, unless I was by myself, so I went solo. Now my music is exactly the way I want it to be, thanks to my good friend Evan Mcgown, who gave me my laptop, which is all I use to make my music. With the right tools, a little bit a knowledge, and a desire to see your dream come true you can accomplish great things. I enjoy the music I create and I hope you do too, peace DDAI.
