Robert a.k.a. "DETERMINED" the beatpimp has been around the music industry mostly all of his life. His father, Bobby Lee, is a bass player and singer/ songwriter that has played from coast to coast throughout the years with various bands including Johnny and the Hurricanes. His mother, Jo Lynn, is an accomplished female vocalist who has been singing since childhood and continues to this day in her 60's. "Music runs deep in my family!" says DETERMINED who, at the age of 32, laughs at the fact that "Everyone in my family is some sort of a musician or has been!" Growing up listening to a mixture of country and classic rock DETERMINED quickly found an intrest in the guitar. Then his cousin came back from California in the early eighties with a new sound. "I'll never forget rollerskating to Sugar Hill Gang's Rappers Delight!" He found a love of hip/hop that would eventually pave the way to where he is now.



Working with artists such as Mac Slim, Sik Da Don Sikosa, Ca$mir and various others, DETERMINED continues to sharpen his skills and set the bar higher and higher for himself as well as others. "If it wasn't for MAC SLIM, I wouldn't even be where I'm at right now. He got me to really push myself and give it my all. " He is currently working on full CD production for Mac Slim (The Process) and Shock, an artist that has toured with Scarface and other names in the industry. "No matter what people say, if you live it, breathe it, and bleed it, you WILL be it. Like it or not.... I will be heard."
