In 2006 saw the creation of Dirty Diamonds.

 

2 brothers, Kurt and Lincoln started Dirty Diamonds in early 2006 because they were bored of the music currently on the radio and wanted to change the music industry from what we know it today. With there influences of bands such as Motley Crue, Metallica, AC/DC, Gun’s and Rose’s and anything else from that great era of music, they created a rock sound that is hard to beat and easy to rock out to. Chris Moss, drums, was bought up playing jazz drums with his father and brings a phat rhythmic sound to the rhythm section of the band. Craig Vincent or ‘Vincent Fury’ as we know him stepped onto lead guitar in Dec. 2006. Vincent Fury is the former Wretched Child guitarist and brings the quickest, most unbelievable shredding to be heard. Shane Finney was called up one Tuesday morning in Jan. 2007 and asked to audition for Dirty Diamonds and after just one song, the band knew that this was there man to take the front of the band. Shane, former Darkshot lead singer has a huge vocal range, melodic sound and the capability of writing anything from a lovesick ballad to a top of the charts rock song.

 

 

Their first single, EMO was written by Shane in late 2006 and as soon as Shane heard the sound of Dirty Diamonds knew that the two would go together greatly. EMO is written for anyone that has ever felt like they had no one. Each verse tells a story and takes you through one young mans trip through the voices inside his head.

 

 

Following in the steps of other great local S.E .Queensland bands such as Powderfinger, The butterfly Effect, Chasing Gravity(formerly Elephant Mojo) butterfingers, Japunga and many more, Dirty Diamonds will not stop until they have reached stardom and a top ten single on the Aria charts and
