Born as James L. Green III, chose name Dirty Mackin because of the lifestyle that I lived.  Mackin on women came second nature to me.  I began rapping at about age 5 during a program at my daycare center and was an instant hit. Made the decision to get serious about the game after becoming bored by listening to artist telling stories about nothing and making songs that are not coming from the heart.  I write music about the struggles that I have gone through living in DC.  Life ain't easy here, but I truly believe that I have what it takes to make something happen for myself.  I was influenced by artist who put their hearts into what they sold to the fans i.e. PAC, Biggie, Cool Moe DEE, Heavy Dee, and Jay-Z and 50.  It seems that we have gotten away from telling stories and are just in it acting foolish.
