DJ Funk-Da-Loop is an alias for Wayne Handyside who was born in Preston, on the 18^th July 1975.

His passion is music and started as an MC in a club in Preston , “The Gatsby”, and within the first year his career as an MC rocketed. Moving round the club scene he went on to “The Mill” also in Preston which held such events as “Cream” from Liverpool, then moving on became resident MC at “Lardy Darz”, “Lord Byron’s” and “Sub Bass” which focused on original Junglist beats before going further a field to MC such events as the “Que-Club” in Birmingham, “Club Kinetic” at the Leisurebowl in Stoke-on-Trent and “Fiber Optic” events.

He then went on to produce music of different genres and experiment with new sounds and beats, creating an abundance of tracks for himself to play as well as his co-DJ’s on the club scene.

In 2003/2004 he became the main DJ for the game show “It’s a Knockout” which has run for over 20 years, exploring a completely different side to his artistic abilities on the decks enabling him to reach out now to all areas of the music industry. And with the “Knockout Roadshow” being called to such events as the “Slammin Vinal” weekender in Southport it took his abilities to a whole new level.

This year he has just completed a 6 month tour of Mallorca , playing at 5 different clubs over the island and setting the trend for most of the opening parties in the country whilst exploring more and more his own abilities, firstly as party DJ and secondly with his main passion Electro House.

DJ Funk-Da-Loop is one of the most impressive DJ’s on the circuit at the moment and if you’ve already had the pleasure of seeing him live then you understand what I mean.
