Born in Montreal on the 19th of October 1973, François-Yanick Bourassa (alias DJ FYB) has a chance to have a Ranger as a father and that's why from 2 year old until his teenage time, he move all around the province of Quebec, following National and Provincial Parks. From Newfoundland to Laurentians passing by Gaspésie, is childhood as to adapt rapidly year after year.

Music has taken place very early while the piano at the house was always a tool of experimentation. At the age of 10, François-Yanick has created his first composition and at the age of 12, the second one. Being implicated at school (whatever the school was since he moves often because of his father job) in music, he plays piano and synthesizer front to different public (from school audience as well as entertain some retreat houses).

Then, François-Yanick turns himself in computer study to learn programming. His career as a Web Developer grows up rapidly and he is now working as a Web Developer Sr. He always played music at home but it is in spring 2007 that he starts to think to make his passion a reality for the future. He starts to create his own studio and his passion can just make his dream come true now!

Why having choose to put the word "DJ"? Simply because Djing is not only with pre-recorded vinyls or CDs but an action taken when interacting with many sounds together. But François-Yanick can also spin but never had been active in the market. He still have the equipments to do it in case of and start thinking to take a bit more space in this market soon! In the meantime, he is doing some DJing on special occassions for friends and family. But his first idea is to create song from scratch and this is what he does better!
