About Band

D.N.S. (Deep.N.Space) “puts on” for their city of New Orleans , Louisiana and are the hottest topic at Xavier University . Ira “Nasty” Coleman and Darrin “Starr” Devaughn form the dynamic duo of Deep.N.Space or more notably, D.N.S. The dynamic duo has been nicknamed "Batman and Robin" due to their unique, versatile style.  Ira Coleman "Nasty" brings charming, witty, and sometimes flirtatious punch lines and vivid lyrics while Darren Vaughn "Starr" perfects his play on words through similes, metaphors and crafty delivery. Two styles compliment each other, bringing a cutting edge, fresh product.  This group brings a breath of fresh air to the music industry and delivers what has been missing from music for a long time "Feel Good Music".  D.N.S.’s versatility ranges from tearing the club scene down and embracing “swag” to effectively voicing their stance on pressing social issues.

D.N.S.’s inspiration to pursue music is rooted from the tragic experiences from Hurricane Katrina. Both members dedicated their time to writing lyrics inspired by the tragedies and released their first mixtape "RentMoney",  The mixtape generated a nice buzz, especially among the local Universities (Xavier, SUNO, UNO and Dilliard, which led up to the beginning of a mixtape series, “Rent Money”. The first entry of this series brought D.N.S. a strong New Orleans and Houston fan base. which encouraged them to get back in the studio and work.  Two months later the group, which was a trio, released "Rent Money II (Late Notice)" to the streets and instantly became a must have mixtape.  D.N.S. became such a demand in the city of New Orleans, so they decided to drop their first album "Unsigned Hype".  The buzz continued and began to spread as far as Texas and Mississippi.  Doing shows at local clubs and talent shows made their final installment to the RentMoney series a highly anticipating, must have mixtape.   D.N.S. has recently dropped the third installment to the “Rent Money” series, “Rent Money III: Last Notice”, with singles “Shawty We Can Dip” and “Digital” featuring hit-maker, T-Pain.

The sky isn’t the limit for D.N.S because they are already Deep.N.Space. Look out for this group in the Billboard charts very soon!
